AbouT THE GROUP
Since 1995, The Group has worked with independently owned and operated brick-and-mortar funeral homes to support them as they grow. We provide negotiated discounts, educational opportunities, an industry-wide network of fellow firms and partners, and an ever-evolving set of services and offerings based on our members’ needs. Our members are large and small, rural and urban, serving every kind of community— and together they form the community we serve.

Who We Are
The Independent Funeral Group was founded by— and continues to be run by— the same people it exists to serve. Our founders, our Board, and our staff are all experienced funeral professionals who believe the future of our industry is in the family firm. For 30 years, we have worked to provide innovative solutions, opportunities, and tools to our members to support their growth in their communities. Independent doesn’t have to mean alone—that’s the strength of the Group.
What We Do
The Group is, first and foremost, a resource for our members. The services, discounts, and opportunities we offer are always evolving to provide the best possible support, based on our members’ requests, needs, and feedback. We offer our members exclusive deals negotiated with industry services and suppliers; educational opportunities through practitioner-to-practitioner Round Tables, Continuing Education courses, annual Fall Conferences, and partner courses; a collection of resources and dedicated contacts both inside the Group and out; and a wide-ranging network of fellow firms.
