Aaron Ellison is a lifelong resident of Chilton County, having grown up in the Union Grove and Mineral Springs communities. He graduated from Jemison High School in 2005 and earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Funeral Service Education from Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, AL, in 2008.

A dedicated member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church, Aaron is actively involved in the Alabama Funeral Directors Association (AFDA), where he has served on various committees and currently holds the position of President-Elect. He is also a committed member of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA).

Aaron's journey in funeral service began while he was still a junior in high school. Although he had opportunities to work in other parts of the Southeast during his college years, he chose to dedicate himself to serving his hometown community. He maintains that same commitment today through the services offered at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home, which he founded in 2010 based on principles of providing affordable, compassionate, and dignified care, ensuring support is available whenever needed.

Aaron continues to reside in the same community where he was raised, alongside his wife, Tracy Newman Ellison. Together, they have four sons: Jace Newman (18), Aaden Ellison (15), Coven Ellison (8), and Emmett Ellison (6). He is the son of Joe Earl and Cindy Ellison and the grandson of Jettie Mae and the late Joe O. Ellison, as well as the late Raymond and Jean Carden.

We would like to welcome Aaron and his staff to The Independent Funeral Group!
